I was commissioned to design a cover for Neiry Jacob; a Mozambican-born Indian writer, traveler, and immigrant. I Was Born Feet First is her debut novel and centres around Islamic philosophy, identity, womanhood and navigating the self. For the cover, she wanted to convey feelings of alienation and being away with one's thoughts.
